GP Earnings

Non-urgent advice: GP Earnings

Eaglescliffe Medical Practice is a GP partnership. This is when a group of doctors work together to run a practice. They share the responsibilities, such as seeing patients, managing the clinic, and making decisions about how things are done. Each doctor, called a "partner," is part-owner of the practice and helps to make sure it runs smoothly. They also share the money the practice makes.

As Eaglescliffe Medical Practice is a practice ran by GP partners and NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below.

However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with other practices.

The average earnings for GPs working in the Eaglescliffe Medical Practice in the last financial year ending in 2023/24 was £84,542 before taxation and National Insurance.

This is for 1 full time GP and 6 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
